With a passion for mid-century design and retro caravanning in her 1966 American Airstream – and after ten years as a successful Graphic Designer – Julia decided to apply her creative skills and flair for contemporary design to floristry. In 1997, after getting married and becoming increasingly interested in the floral/wedding industry, she became a trainee florist and later gained The City and Guilds Medal for Excellence Award in 2003, along with winner at the Spring Florist Event in 2002.

After completing her degree in Fine Art History in Toronto, Erin set off travelling in Europe to finally see some of the paintings she had studied for years. She quickly fell for an Englishman, ended up in Somerset, and felt a career change was in order. With her desire to create something beautiful with her hands she followed in the foot steps of her mother and ended up in floristry. Erin trained in Bath and joined Passion in 2014. Inspired by the romantic English countryside, Erin particularly loves to make wedding flowers and is currently on maternity leave.

Catherine arrived at Passion in the summer of 2013, following the completion of her National Floristry Diploma, for which she was awarded student of the year. Having achieved a degree in English and Media, she spent four years working in hospitality and events, enjoying the flexibility and sociability it offered. However, a lifelong love of flowers and desire for a creative career led her to retrain as a florist. Catherine runs the weekly flower contracts and deals with their daily requirements.

Albert builds all of our bespoke constructions and, generally, fixes everything else that is broken or that we might need – in other words, an invaluable member of the team. …whenever he arrives at the barn he switches the radio to Gold FM.

After twenty years working in Logistics and the Licence Trade, Harvey joined Passion in September 2013. He really enjoys the hectic world of Passion and is in charge of all our wonderful Props. His least favourite part of the job is cleaning candle wax out of T-Lights and his highlight would be seeing people’s faces when he delivers an unexpected beautiful bunch of flowers. Away from work he enjoys a wide range of sports, taking his Labrador Lucy for long walks, and loves spending time with his wife and children.

From a young age Kenna has loved the magical essence of nature and flowers, being drawn on the colours, textures and shapes in the world around her. Being able to share these wonders of nature through her work is really important and fulfilling. Kenna completed her National Diploma floristry qualifications, along with being awarded a Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal in 2016 with Bath College. A quick learner, she started at Passion for work experience during her first year at college and thrived in a space which creativity was all around, happy to be able to express her own individuality and flair in all of Passion’s creations. Away from her work, Kenna has a real love of the arts and the countryside, collecting ideas and inspiration on her adventures.

After years of crafting as a hobby Michelle discovered flowers and it wasn't long before she left her day job in event management to follow a more creative career. Whilst studying at Bath college, Michelle learnt the ropes working and training at a busy florist in Bristol. She then took the opportunity to learn floral techniques from across the pond whilst living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for several years. Now she's excited to be back in the UK, working with seasonal blooms and taking inspiration from the Bath countryside once again.

Coming from a background in design, Portia was working as an event stylist in Australia when, on a trip to the flower market early one morning, she fell in love with the world of floristry. She is particularly attracted to the endless variety of colours, textures and scents and how these can be combined to create impact and evoke emotions. Since her return to the U.K. she has found the changing seasons of the English countryside are a daily source of inspiration, looking to gardens, hedgerows and woodlands around her to inform a natural, gathered style. Seasonality is a vital part of her enthusiasm for floristry and she enjoys inspiring clients to value this ephemerality too.
